Thank-you for coming into our lives
And for choosing us for your care
I'm so sorry the time was too brief
That we were allowed to share.

Your hair was a lovely golden hue
Your lips a cupids bow.
You really were so beautiful
Those that saw you know.

Though sadness fills our hearts at your loss
There's joy and pride as well
You gave us the gift of parenthood
And we'll be able to tell
Of the boy we were allowed to create
Our special, precious son
Up there in heaven with his grandad and nan
With whom a new life has begun.
